Today I got the following e-mail:

SUBJECT: Campus Traffic Alterations/NJ State Police Exercise on Friday, June 22

I wanted to take a moment to make you aware of an anticipated period of high traffic volume on campus and the plan to deal with the increased amounts of traffic. On Friday, June 22, the New Jersey American Legion Jersey Boys State will be holding a family picnic and ceremony on campus. Approximately 900 camp participants will be joined by their families for these events before leaving campus that afternoon. In order to ease traffic pressure around Alumni Gym, the Main Gate entrance will be closed from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. All traffic will enter and exit the campus via the South Gate.

As part of the Boys State closing picnic, the New Jersey State Police Anti-Terrorism unit will be performing an exercise in front of Moore Library at 12:30 p.m. There will be no traffic allowed to cross in front of the library during this demonstration. The activity will consist of the State Police helicopter hovering over the mall in front of the library. Four troopers will repel out of it and perform a demonstration with a K9 unit. This will last approximately 15 minutes. There will be flash grenades used in the exercise. Our Security, Lawrence Township officials and the State Police will manage this event. The mall will remain closed until the Boys State event is over, but traffic will be allowed to pass in front of the library by 1 p.m.

I want to thank you in advance for your patience with this matter.

Turbo, Skanko, and I are going to go check it out on our lunch. Its gonna be amazing. I’ll post pictures if we get some good ones…
